​The Clotho's Handspinners library collection has many good fiberarts books, magazines, and DVDs for members to borrow.

How to Borrow Books from Clotho's Library

Check out our full library catalog and our list of selected materials on dye and color.
Book requests are handled by Clotho's librarian.
Ready to borrow?

  1. email a request to the librarian in advance, at least three days before a meeting.  You can ask for the librarian's email address at a meeting.
  2. in your email's subject line, put "library request" and the title you want to borrow or renew.  Put any additional titles in the body of the email
  3. sign the email with your full name
  4. at the meeting, go to the librarian to fill out a library form and receive your reserved materials
  5. return your materials at the next meeting

Terms

You must be an active member (dues paid up) in order to check out materials.  You are responsible for replacement costs if an item is lost or not returned.  Materials can be checked out for one month.  Do not pass your materials to another member.  Do fill out the request form (provided at meetings) in full with what you have received, and return it to the librarian at the meeting.
Limit per member per month

  • 3 Books
  • 2 DVDs/VHS, or 1 if it is a new DVD
  • 3 Magazines

The library exists to help further the mission of Clotho's Handspinners, which is to promote handspinning and related fiberarts in the Central Virginia community.
