Clotho's Almanac: our usual yearly events
Monthly year-round: a sit and spin, program, and short business meeting.
Every other year: an auction and sale of members' used equipment and surplus handspinning, knitting, weaving, and dyeing supplies.
January: a two-day retreat, held at the usual location over a weekend. A challenge is offered to members to spin a bag of fiber into yarn according to a given theme and return the results at the May meeting.
April: a demonstration of the process of turning a sheep's fleece into a handspun, naturally-dyed, handwoven scarf at Meadow Farm museum.
At various times:
- a dye workshop (natural or synthetic)
- a full-day or multi-day handspinning workshop (dependent on minimum
- enrollment)
- demonstrations of handspinning yarn for the public at farmers' markets,
- festivals, and museums
- trunk shows by handspinning suppliers
- beginner drop spindle lessons
